The location is great. We stayed 2 nights over Easter. The place is comfortable, warm and clean. The size of the lodge is petfect for a family of 4. Board games, books, tourist information available. Blair Castle is a short walk from the lodge. Steve is a good host and is very responsive.

Great place exactly as described. Lots of local activities and sites to see. Close to all the regional sites. Had some issues with the heating but the host sorted it out within a few minutes and it was fixed. All in all a great and cosy place!

The lodge was spotlessly clean, modern and well equipped. There was everything we needed for our stay. Communication from Steve was great and he was very fast to respond. He also let us know about a fallen tree near the lodge and an alternative route to get there. Luckily the tree situation had been resolved by the time we arrived. We will definitely be staying again.

The cabin has everything you need and perfect for a stay. Second time I’ve stayed here and would definitely come back. The decking area is also a great size. It’s in a great location with loads of good walks nearby and also nice places to eat drink close by.

What a Cabin! Perfect for our wee getaway. Very quiet, gorgeous surroundings and we were regularly visited by Red Squirrels. Would definitely stay again. Steve was great regarding our early arrival, and did everything he could to accommodate us.

A very well appointed cabin in a fantastic location. Most everything that one would need for their stay has been thoughtfully provided. We appreciated the clear instructions and how easy check-in was as well. Four adults might find it a bit tight, but certainly for three of us were plenty comfortable. For exploring the beautiful country-side, it’s in an amazing location. Many thanks Steve for being a great host.

Nice beautiful lodge by the river. Everything was great during our 3 day stay. The kitchen got everything we needed. Nice bedroom, comfy bed. Got lots of children’s DVD’s and toys to entertain our kids. The host was responsive and friendly. There is lots of things to do in the surrounding area. Peaceful and great for kids too.

It is a well equipped, modern well located cabin. Everything you need is available. The location is on the River Tilt and it’s easy to take a look at Blair Castle or take a long walk from the house to the Beinn Mheadhonach.

Lovely location. Really comfortable beds and top notch pillows and bedding. Kitchen was well equipped too. Worked brilliantly for the three of us. Loved the fire – had to turn it off as hot too warm at one point. Great to sit out on the patio when the sun came out And for any walkers or runners some lovely routes to explore along the River Tilt Would definitely stay again Thank you for providing such a lovely place.

The location is beautiful, near the River Tilt, close to local amenities at Blair Atholl. The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need, very comfortable beds, we fell in love with the log burner. Steven is a great host, there were even biscuits in the cupboard. Had such a fantastic break, definitely won’t be our last visit.

We’ve had a very pleasant short stay at Steve’s cabin, on the way back from Skye and heading to Edinburgh. It was very easy to find it following the handy instructions he sent to us a couple of days before. The cabin is located within a sort of caravan park, right next to the river; The park was very quiet as we visited at Easter time. The log cabin is just as the pictures show, spotless and cosy, with a very homely feel to it. The beds are snug and comfy, and the ‘gas fireplace’ was a plus to keep us warm as we had very humid weather. Unfortunately we couldn’t use the outdoor space because of the constant rain, but it must be lovely sitting there in the summer. We enjoyed the collection of DVDs instead and hazarded a wet walk up the nearby Glen Tilt, which you can access by foot. Great value for money, we’re definitely going to recommend it to family and friends!

Thank you Steve for letting us stay in Chestnut cottage. It is a great cabin and has been modernised to a high spec without losing that alpine feel. Nice touch using the skis and fishing rods for decoration. The gas wood burner is amazing. And thank you for such a generous supply of coffee pods. We had a great time – 2 days of good walking in and around Glen Tilt.

Chestnut Lodge in Blair Atholl on the River Tilt . 2nd visit for us and won’t be the last. Well equipped cabin that has all you need for your break – clear info provided by the owner on how to operate things, how to access washing/laundry facilities (not always required but great to have the option). Well maintained cabin ie everything functioning and well kept and a good selection of kitchenware. Gorgeous location and a well maintained quiet site – perfect.

The place is charming and well equipped. It is located in a kind of holiday village of similar dwellings, located on the banks of a charming river. Perfect location for exploring and visiting some distilleries and castles. Attention not suitable for groups of friends who want to party, the rules of the village are quite strict. We were with family so great!

This was a really lovely lodge in a very pleasant private park. It was comfy and well equipped internally and had ample outside seating area plus an allocated parking space. It was also nicely located to explore The Cairngorms. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Chestnut Lodge is a wonderful place to go hiking or walking nearby (with short driving distances). It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and even offers a few small, unexpected extras. The check-in worked contactless and smoothly. If you have any questions or comments, the host replies quickly and easily. All in all an absolute recommendation!

Check in and check out was easy. Access to cabin was easy too. Everything was there that we required for a few nights stay away. Location was great, and views lovely. Small shop round the corner to buy bits and pieces for the cabin. Would definitely come back.

What a fabulous place to get away for the weekend. Wish I could’ve stayed longer. From the start of the booking process to checking out – was faultless. The lodge is situated right near the river which was lovely to see. Everything is catered for within this gorgeous self catering lodge, it’s spotless & guidance on how to work things are easily to hand. Steve also very kindly supplied a travel cot & high chair for my grand daughter. The lodge itself is perfect for 4 people & the log fire was a delightful treat to coorie in as the weather wasn’t very kind to us. Lovely walk up to Blair Castle with fish n chips to take back & The Loft on site is a must to visit. Our meal was amazing! Oh There are games and dvds as well which was a Lovely touch. I will definitely be returning.

We stayed in chestnut lodge for 3 nights and it was perfect for us, our toddler and newborn. A cot was provided which was great. The place was really cosy and clean inside and in a beautiful setting! There was a nice restaurant on site which was child friendly and you can walk into Blair Atholl in like 5 minutes. Would definitely book again!

The restaurant on the park was really good and go across the bridge to the fish and chip place at food 8n the park was also very good. Loads to do in and around the area. Beautiful cabin in amazing location! Stayed for the weekend with three friends and we couldn’t recommend it enough for a few nights away. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy and the terrace was huge which was a real bonus as we had lovely weather. Blair atholl is a great location. The loft restaurant a few minutes walk away is also delicious. Will definitely be back. Communication with Steve was great and really speedy and check in and check out couldn’t have been easier!

Located within the Moorings, at the River Tilt Park, Chestnut Lodge is a terrific base to explore Perthshire and beyond. Chestnut Lodge is very modern, has all the facilities required and is cleaned to a high standard. Hand sanitisers are located at the entrance to the Lodge and throughout the park. The on site restaurant “The Loft” is worth a visit.

We stayed here for 3 nights and wish it had been for longer! The lodge is perfect both in terms of amenities and location which is idyllic and exceeded our expectations. It was wonderful to wake up on a morning and sit in front of the wood burning stove with a cuppa watching all the birds and red squirrels outside. We went on lots of walks in the surrounding area including along the river and also up to the grounds of Blair Atholl Castle. We also ate at the Loft restaurant which we would thoroughly recommend. All in all this was a perfect break and we are so glad to have discovered this lodge. It was just what we needed after all the stresses of this year so far. We will definitely be back!

The park is situated less than 15mins walk from Blair Athol train station and the lodge itself is 5mins from reception. It was fully kitted out with everything we could have possibly needed. Plenty sockets for my 2 boys’ tablets/switch/mobile chargers 🙂 and free wifi – which makes or breaks a holiday for an 8 and 10yr old!! The wood burning gas fire was such a treat and made it so cosy. It was spotless and really couldn’t fault anything. We would absolutely return.

We stayed in the Chestnut Lodge for 5 nights and it was excellent. Starting with basics, everything within the lodge was spotless and had obviously been fully cleaned, which was reassuring. The equipment within the lodge was very modern and to a high standard. This included free Wifi, a Sonos sound system, a decent collection of DVD’s and many board games. More natural entertainment was provided by the range of birds which visited the decking area along with the regular red squirrel. The lodge is located in a very quiet area, so is ideal if you are looking for a nice relaxing getaway.
